CHAPTER THREE:

INTO THE WOODS

Singer-Songwriter Lola Kristine Unveils The Essence of Divine Feminine With New Music

19 January 2024

The two-track release, "chapter three: into the woods,” is an anthem from the depths of the wild soul.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA (January 19, 2024) - Lola Kristine, the boho songstress hailing from Southern California, just released the third installment of her musical journey with “chapter three: into the woods” on Friday, January 19, 2024. The upcoming album is a powerful exploration of self-discovery and reclamation, featuring two captivating tracks, “Find Me in the Wilderness” and “Living for Myself.”

Find Me in the Wilderness” - A journey into Lola’s darkness, a returning home to her roots and inner child. This dark rock anthem is a commitment to facing hidden demons, breaking free from chains, and embracing the untamed spirit within. The chorus howls with the resilience of Lola’s spirit, “I will not be afraid because I know the sun will rise again.”

“These are two of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. They push me to my edge vocally where I can hold nothing back. ‘Find Me in the Wilderness’ was the missing piece to tie the album together, inviting listeners to rediscover their wild souls.”

- Lola Kristine, LA-Based Singer-Songwriter

Living for Myself” - A liberation of Lola’s fierce power as she sings about embracing her unique multi-faceted self. Recorded live in the studio, this blues rock track captures the raw energy of Lola’s performance. The song is a powerful declaration of independence, female empowerment, a rejection of societal expectations, and a celebration of living authentically.

I wrote ‘Living For Myself’ after a meeting with a powerful music manager who said I need to stick to one style if I wanted to be successful. That I should keep myself in a nice box. This song began as my response to him.”

- Lola Kristine, LA-Based Singer-Songwriter

The sound of this chapter stretches genres: from country rock and Americana to retro soul and blues. It is both fierce and catchy, with “Find Me in the Wilderness” drawing inspiration from artists like Brandi Carlile and The Lone Bellow, while “Living for Myself” features Motown flavors reminiscent of Aretha Franklin and Sister Sparrow.

Accompanying the release is a live music video for “Living for Myself,” recorded during the studio session, scheduled to drop a week after the album release.

The entire CHAPTERS album is a personal journey through Lola Kristine’s life, marked by love, heartbreak, self-discovery, and redemption. Each chapter unfolds like a page from her diary, inviting listeners to resonate with their own experiences. CHAPTERS is a testament to true love’s transformative power and the freedom that comes with embracing one’s authentic self. “chapter three: into the woods” is Lola Kristine’s first release with World Peach Records, an all-female indie label.
